Kids never type an email.
The Daily Catch is daily practice for the Iowa Assessments. Grown-ups create every account and every kid profile, and we collect as little as the practice needs.
What we store
- Grown-ups: your first name, email address and password (stored only as a one-way hash), and your family’s name and grown-ups PIN (also hashed).
- Kids: a first name or nickname, a grade, and their practice: answers, scores, skills, the Tuxemon they’ve caught and any writing they do.
- Devices: for each signed-in device, the browser type, the IP address it signed in from, and when it was last used, so you can sign devices out.
How it’s used
Only to run the practice and show your family its progress, to sign you in, and to send the emails you ask for (invites and password resets). We don’t show ads, and we don’t sell or share your family’s data.
AI
Questions, hints, explanations, grading and writing feedback are written by an AI service: Gab AI, with Cloudflare Workers AI as a backup. To do that, the question and your kid’s answer or writing are sent to it, along with their grade. Kids’ names are never sent.
Where it lives
The app and its database run on Cloudflare, with backups kept in Cloudflare’s storage.
Your choices
From the family page (behind your PIN) you can download everything we store about your family, remove a kid, or delete the whole family account. Deleting removes every kid’s progress and every grown-up’s sign-in.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll email every grown-up before it takes effect.
